Impostor Syndrome

What IIF the strength you see
in others standing tall,
is something waiting within you,
behind a stubborn wall.

What if that voice in you
that says you don’t belong,
is only fear repeating words
from some old borrowed song.

You watch the others rise,
then measure what you lack,
forgetting every step you took
when you kept coming back.

The proof is in your work,
in all the things you do,
each time you try, you build the strength
that lives inside of you.

So start before you feel
like you have earned your place,
let action teach your doubting heart
to stand and claim its space.

Doubt

What IIF the doubt you carry
was placed there long ago,
a voice that never once was yours
still shaping how you grow.

What if you set it down now,
and watched it lose its claim,
and found beneath the borrowed sound
a steady, truer name.

What if your voice could answer,
not echo what you’ve known,
but rise beyond the noise of it
and stand as fully grown.

What if the ones beside you
have felt that weight the same,
and in the sharing of the load
you ease each other’s pain.

What if the truth is simple,
and closer than it seems,
you were not made to carry doubt
that robs you of your dreams.

What if you chose to claim it,
and take back what is yours,
to let your voice grow strong enough
with confidence that soars.

Possibilities

What IIF the world is wide
in ways you’ve yet to see,
not held in place by what has been,
but shaped by what could be.

What if each harmful thought
you almost let go by
was something reaching back for you,
a thread you could untie.

What if the turn you missed
was never meant for you,
for now you’re where the roads can rise
and lead you somewhere new.

What if the things you fear
are doors that shift and bend,
not walls that close around your path,
but the means to an end.

What if your life is not
a line you must defend,
but something softer in your hands,
to shape as you intend.

What if the smallest yes
could open something vast,
a moment growing into more
freed from the mold once cast.

What if the life ahead
is not yet set or still,
but waiting in a thousand forms
to answer to your will.

Words Upon the Skin

What IIF each word we spoke
left ink upon the skin,
a bruise where careless anger fell,
a glow where love stepped in.

What if a passing phrase
could carve or gently mend,
a jagged line from sharpened tone,
or gold from words we send.

What if we saw it bloom,
each mark we helped create,
the quiet proof of every tongue,
the kindness or the weight.

Would we still choose to wound,
with heat we did not tame,
if every scar we gave away
returned to us the same.

Or would we learn to speak
with softer, steady art,
and place our words with mindful hands
as keepers of the heart.

What IIF We Fail

What IIF we were to fail,
not weighed in quiet shame,
not measured out in careful lines,
nor branded with a name.

What if a step in fog
did not root you in place,
but loosened like a passing tide
and gave you room for grace.

What if the half seen truth
you held with trembling hand
was still a door that opened wide
into an unknown land.

What if being misled
did not make you small,
but showed the edges of your sight
and taught you how to call.

What if mistakes were marks
of reaching out to live,
like fingerprints on passing days
that prove you chose to give.

What if no score was kept,
no tally in the air,
no unseen eyes to mark you down,
no weight or hidden stare.

What if it was okay
to stumble as you go,
and every place you fractured
became the place you grow.

What IIF We Weren’t Alone

IIf you come here tired, mate,
come just as you are,
with the weight upon your shoulders,
a memory for every scar.

Do not bow your head in shame,
do not soften what you’ve known,
for the road that brought you here
is a truth that you have grown.

We will see you, standing there,
with your burden plain and wide,
and we will not turn our faces,
we will not step aside.

For we know that kind of sorrow,
we felt its steady claim,
we have walked through nights unending
and risen just the same.

So lay it down, what you can spare,
you need not carry all,
there’s strength in shared experience,
there’s grace in how we fall.

You are not less for breaking,
nor diminished by your pains,
you are part of something living,
you will rise above those chains.

Together we are not alone,
hear this clear and hear this true,
we are bound in quiet courage,
and that courage carries you.

You may tremble as you stand,
yet here you still belong,
for we are one, we are many,
and together, we are strong.

What IIF You Don’t Have Writer’s Block

What IIF you don’t
have writers block.

What IIF your brain
is doing what brains do
when they get tired of being judged.

There is a part of your mind
that keeps score.

It remembers the comment
that said your work was weak.

It remembers the silence
after you shared something
that mattered to you.

Your brain keeps those things
in a drawer labeled danger.

Psychologists call it negativity bias.

Your brain calls it survival.

Because thousands of years ago
being disliked by the tribe
could get you killed.

So now every time you sit down to write
your brain asks
very politely

“Are we about to embarrass ourselves again?”

And suddenly the page looks
very white.
Very permanent.
Very loud.

But the ideas are still there.

They didn’t leave.

They’re just waiting
for you to stop treating them
like they have to earn their right
to exist.

Perfectionism is just fear
wearing a tuxedo.

Stress is just noise
in the room where curiosity lives.

And curiosity is the real engine.

Ask a question.

What if the villain was right?

What if the forest was growing
because something terrible
was buried underneath it?

What if the character refuses
to forgive anyone
including themselves?

See?

Your brain loves puzzles.

Give it one small question
and it will chase the answer
for miles.

You don’t have writer’s block.

You have a mind
that learned to protect you
a little too well.

So write something bad.

Write something messy.

Write the sentence
that makes your inner critic
shift uncomfortably in its chair.

Because the moment you start

the moment ink touches the page
or your fingers press the keys

your brain remembers.

It remembers the thrill of the chase.
The strange electricity of a new idea.
The quiet miracle
of making something
that did not exist
ten minutes ago.

And suddenly the page
is not an enemy.

It is a doorway.

And the truth is
you were never blocked.

You were only waiting
for someone to remind you
that the door
was never locked.

So go write.

IIF You Fall

Failure leaves the spirit downtrod’
where doubts begin to grow,
old failures stir within the dust
and murmur soft and low.

They gather close around your feet,
each flaw you thought was true,
and in that narrow field of sight
the world grows small for you.

But lift your chin and find your stance,
let steady courage call,
you’ll see the ground was never meant
to measure you at all.

For higher still your spirit stands,
beyond the place you fell,
a stumble is a moment’s mark,
not where your story dwells.

And when at last you raise your gaze,
beyond the doubt and fear,
you’ll find a circle standing fast
of hearts that brought you here.

Their hands are stretched across the space,
their voices calm and kind,
a thousand quiet strengths at work
to help you rise and climb.

So take the hand that reaches out,
This fall is not the end
for no one climbs the hardest hills
without the help of friends.

Zero Discrimination Day
March 1st

Discrimination builds its wall,
with mortar made of fear,
it stands to make our voices small,
confusing what we hear.

It draws a hard line in the dust,
tells lies of what we’ve lost
it trades away our common trust,
compassion is the cost.

It brands a face with borrowed blame,
then calls its actions fair,
it sharpens difference into shame
and leaves division there.

But hope lays down a stronger claim,
where every soul is known,
it speaks each living, rightful name
and breaks the wall of stone.

Let March begin with open ground
where every step is free,
no border where our hope is found,
just shared humanity.

The strongest Part of You

The version of you blurred by fear,
Putting away your dreams softly,
Is not the person standing here,
Not the one I clearly see.

If your worn down heart feels small and weak,
Then lean your weight on me,
I will tell you of the strength you hide,
Of the fierce, bright soul I see.

I see the one who cares so deep,
Who aches at the world’s cruelty,
Who feels each fracture of the earth
Yet chooses love faithfully.

I see a friend who shares their soul,
So thoughtful, brave, and free,
Who lifts another toward the light,
And shows them what I see.

So rest a moment in borrowed strength,
Until your own breaks through,
For the soul you fear you are not
Is the strongest part of you.

Showing Up

Begin by arriving.
Not polished.
Not certain.
Just present enough to be counted.

Bring what you have.
A comment that says I saw this.
Time enough to read
without scrolling like a clock.

Do not rush to improve your work.
Sit where your story is being told.
Let silence finish its sentence
without asking it to be perfect.

Showing up is a form of faith.
It says, your work matters
even before it is finished,
even if it never becomes what you planned.

Community grows from repetition.
From being there again.
From names learned slowly.
From hands remembered.

This is how help happens.
Not in grand gestures,
But steadily,
like a door left open.

Hope Through Creativity… because What IIF?

Hope is not the loud thing people think.
It is a chair pulled closer.
It is someone reading your work twice
and saying, this part stayed with me.

It lives in the ordinary.
A message sent late.
A sketch shared before it feels finished.
A quiet yes when someone almost asks for help.

Community is learning to lean without falling.
To carry a little of someone else’s weight
and trust they will carry yours
on a different day, when your hands shake.

Helping is not fixing.
It is sitting beside.
It is leaving room for a voice
to arrive When it’s ready.

Hope grows this way.
Passed hand to hand.
Not endless, not fragile,
but enough for now.
